Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure that all work complies with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Inspect electrical components, including transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair work performed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff, engineers, and contractors as needed.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated or unsafe electrical systems.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuitry, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to handle electrical work, including climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, often in confined spaces or at heights.
• Exposure to electrical hazards, machinery, and various environmental conditions.
